Safeguarding Children Child Protection (Level 1)

This is a basic introduction to child protection and providing a safe environment for children to play, learn and develop. As per the Every Child Matters Framework the session is based on Children and Young People under 16. 

By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

·         Understand and have knowledge of the signs, symptoms of and recognise abuse.

·         Understand who abuses and why.

·         Have an awareness of current legislation.

·         Understand the referral process.

·         Understand why children don’t tell and adults don’t listen

·         Understand what to do if an allegation is made against a professional.

·         Know how to deal with disclosures and concerns.

·         Have an awareness of the Common Assessment Framework process.
